We currently provide services for more than 50 non-profit organizations that provide us with extensive auditing experience for non-profit organizations as well as extensive experience in performing single audits.

Several of our professional staff and partners, including, Morris Peacock, have specialized in the non-profit industry and have extensive experience assisting numerous clients with their financial accounting, audit, tax compliance and other management consulting needs.

Our experience with providing audits and other services to a wide variety of non-profit organizations in multiple states provides us with a background and broad range of experience which is unique to the majority of firms providing audit services to non-profit organizations.

Our audit staff are experienced in the use of various accounting software systems, including Quickbooks Accounting Software.

We specialize in natural history associations and currently provide audit services for more than 12 natural history associations in several states.

Educational services
Our standard outlook is to improve your organization's ability to provide accurate and timely financial reports. Our goal is to help you understand your financial statements or the reason things are done the way they are so you get more than just an audit. We will work with your staff to understand the audit adjustments and any findings and recommendations issued as a result of the audit. HintonBurdick has extensive experience with assisting and training local governments with their financial accounting and fiscal responsibilities. We hold educational seminars every year that provide training to elected officials and accounting staff on accounting, internal control, and compliance issues.

Finance director services and monthly full service accounting
HintonBurdick provides finance director services and monthly full-service accounting work, including budgeting, general ledger, payroll, bank reconciliation, billing, cash receipts and cash disbursement procedures for local governments. This provides us with an in-depth knowledge of basic accounting procedures for local governments as well as an in-depth knowledge their accounting systems.
