For more than 40 years, HintonBurdick has established a reputation for providing quality governmental auditing services to numerous local governments. We currently provide services for more than 100 local governments through which we have gained extensive experience in auditing a variety of governmental entities as well as performing single audits. Four of our partners, Chad Atkinson, McKay Hall, Steve Palmer, and Mike Spilker currently specialize in governmental audit services in multiple states, including Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah

We have developed and utilize a unique “fund” approach to our local government audits which helps us focus on issues related to each fund rather than overall revenues or expenditures. In addition, our audit staff is experienced in the use of various accounting software systems, including Caselle Governmental Accounting Software. We also have several years of experience in assisting local governments to obtain the GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
